I recently made a new personal site castinspells. I don't know what I am going to do with it yet. Probably just post about my interests. I've had other sites over the years for employers to look at and view my public github repos. It's nice to sit down and write some plain html for once and focus on something fun over something that shills for future employers.

I built my site using Astro as its easy to use and light weight. I don't mind using vanilla js and astro allows for that while also bundling in some other tools for fast content based web pages.The main appeal of astro is you can write js and abstract it so that it only loads in when it is needed. They call this abstraction an "island." It solves the issue of js bloat really well imo.
